Boom Esports kept their championship hopes alive at The International 2025 (TI12) after sweeping Team Nemesis 2-0 in their Group Stage matchup on Saturday morning, Manila time. Nemesis’ all-Filipino roster of Erice "Erice" Guerra, Polo "Raven" Fausto, Eljohn "Akashi" Andales, John "Jing" Duyan, and Mc "Mac" Villanueva ended their TI 2025 run with a 0-4 record. With seasoned veterans and a hungry lineup, they remain one of Southeast Asia’s biggest hopes for a deep run at Dota 2’s most prestigious tournament. Dota's take on the famous Dota 2 custom map, Auto Chess, called Underlords is now in open beta stage. Valve has made an independent game called Dota Underlords on both Steam and mobile which has the core mechanics of the Auto Chess custom map. Made with Source2 game engine, the game features the hero roster of the Dota 2 game. During Valve’s yearly Dota 2 tournament, a bot from Elon Musk's OpenAI defeated world's best Dota 2 players. Danylo “Dendi” Ishutin, a Dota 2 pro, has been defeated twice by the bot in a live 1-vs-1 match and he has mentioned that the bot "feels a little like [a] human, but a little like something else.” You can watch the entire gameplay below.
