Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 is officially confirmed for an October 23, 2026 release. Infinity Ward is leading development, and the game lands on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC (via Steam, Battle.net, and Xbox on PC), and for the first time in franchise history, Nintendo Switch 2.

No PS4 or Xbox One version. This one is current-gen only.

The game picks up the Modern Warfare storyline with two parallel threads. Private Park, a young South Korean soldier, gets caught in a full-scale North Korean invasion. Captain Price returns separately, operating off the grid, pursuing something that could pull the whole conflict wider. The campaign spans locations across Korea, New York, Paris, and Mumbai.

On the multiplayer side, Infinity Ward is introducing Ballistic Authority, a new gunplay system that tightens bullet trajectory, weapon handling, audio, and field of view into one unified system. The big practical change: no more weapon bloom on hipfire. Shots land where the weapon is pointed.

Day one, multiplayer ships with 12 core 6v6 maps, dedicated Gunfight arenas, and larger Big War maps built for infantry and vehicle combat. There is also Kill Block, a dynamic training-facility map that reshapes its layout between rounds across 500-plus configurations. It keeps the map from ever feeling like a repeat.

DMZ also returns. It is the extraction mode from the last Modern Warfare cycle, and Infinity Ward describes it as a living combat sandbox with narrative missions, dynamic objectives, and a Forward Operating Base players build up over time. Squads can loot, fight, negotiate, or extract solo.

On PC, Beenox worked alongside Infinity Ward to deliver performance tuning, visual fidelity options, and customization built specifically for the platform.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version is being developed by Digital Legends, separate from the main build.

Pre-orders are open now. Standard Edition is priced at $69.99 (roughly ₱4,000 at direct conversion, though Philippine PSN pricing may vary). The Vault Edition runs $99.99, with a 10% loyalty discount bringing it to around $89.99 for players who own previous Call of Duty titles on the same account. Pre-ordering either edition locks in early Open Beta access and the Hunter Killer Operator skin, usable in Black Ops 7 and Warzone from the moment of purchase.

Philippine PS5 store listing is live. Peso pricing was not displayed publicly at the time of writing. Check the PlayStation Store PH page directly for local rates.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 is the 23rd entry in the franchise. It follows Black Ops 6 and Black Ops 7, and marks Infinity Ward’s first lead title since Modern Warfare III in 2023.
