Bangkok’s first gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show sets new record with over 206,000 visitors

The inaugural gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show 2025 made history as Southeast Asia’s largest gaming event, attracting 206,159 attendees and 5,590 business professionals from 81 countries during its four-day run from October 16 to 19 at True Digital Park.

The joint event between Koelnmesse, Show No Limit, and True Digital Group (Online Station) brought together the region’s gaming community under the theme “World of Gaming,” celebrating creativity, innovation, and business growth in the global gaming industry.

Visitors experienced major showcases from top gaming brands such as CAPCOM, Xbox, Nintendo, PlayStation, HoYoverse, SEGA, Bandai Namco, and Ubisoft, with exclusive previews of titles including Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, Resident Evil Requiem, and Ninja Gaiden 4.

Government officials praised the event for helping develop Thailand’s gaming ecosystem. Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas described gaming as a key driver of the global creative economy, while Digital Economy and Society Minister Chaichanok Chidchob reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting local game developers in reaching international markets.

The event also featured standout industry highlights, including a keynote from Dead Space creator Glen Schofield on creativity and resilience in game design, the Thailand Game Awards, and the Indie Wavemakers Awards. The business area hosted 71 speakers across four stages, with over 1.22 billion THB in economic value generated from business deals and partnerships.

Other memorable moments included 4Divinity’s unveiling of Island of Hearts, Capcom’s Thai stage debut, nationwide esports tournaments, and a cosplay competition with over 300,000 THB in prizes.

Organizers announced that gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show will return to Bangkok from October 29 to November 1, 2026, promising an even bigger showcase of gaming culture and innovation.
