Moonton Games has quietly rolled out a lighter version of its popular mobile MOBA, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), in select African regions. Dubbed MLBB Lite, the streamlined edition is now available for Android users in Algeria, Egypt, Nigeria, and South Africa.

Designed with low-end devices and limited internet connectivity in mind, MLBB Lite aims to deliver the core 5v5 multiplayer experience that has made the original game a global hit. Players can expect fast-paced matches, simplified controls, and the same strategic gameplay, all optimized for smoother performance on less powerful hardware.

While Moonton has not officially detailed the specific changes in MLBB Lite, early user feedback suggests that the game’s interface has been simplified, and the overall file size reduced by approximately 2GB. These adjustments are intended to minimize data usage and battery consumption, making the game more accessible to players with limited resources.

The soft launch in these African countries could serve as a testbed for broader expansion. If successful, MLBB Lite may see a global release, providing a more inclusive gaming experience for players worldwide.
