Good news for Survival Horror genre fans as Resident Evil 0,1, and 4 will be coming to Nintendo Switch this May 2019. Nintendo has announced that they will port Capcom's Resident Evil games to the Switch console very soon. To give you an idea, the Resident Evil 0 was released after the Resident Evil: Code Veronica. In the whole RE timeline, it is basically the start of the game's storyline while the main Resident Evil game which was Capcom's first ever game release that continuous the former's plot. European consumers will get the games as three separate digital downloads through Nintendo eShop while North American customers will be able to purchase the Resident Evil Origins Collections which comprises of Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil 1. This release makes Resident Evil 3 the fifth major Resident Evil title available on Apple devices, following the mobile and Mac versions of Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 7, and Resident Evil 2. In response, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa explained that while the Switch 2 is more expensive than older consoles, it offers better features and a more exciting gaming experience. While no release date has been confirmed, the project is part of Capcom’s broader push into mobile, alongside recent ports of Resident Evil 4 Remake and Village on iOS.
