Resident Evil 0,1,4 coming to Nintendo Switch this May

Good news for Survival Horror genre fans as Resident Evil 0,1, and 4 will be coming to Nintendo Switch this May 2019.

Nintendo has announced that they will port Capcom’s Resident Evil games to the Switch console very soon. To give you an idea, the Resident Evil 0 was released after the Resident Evil: Code Veronica. In the whole RE timeline, it is basically the start of the game’s storyline while the main Resident Evil game which was Capcom’s first ever game release that continuous the former’s plot. Resident Evil 4 happens a few years after Leon S. Kennedy’s escape from Raccoon City in Resident Evil 2.

Resident Evil 4 game’s development stages led to producing games like Devil May Cry and Haunting grounds. It is also one of the pioneers of Quick-Time Event mechanics.

European consumers will get the games as three separate digital downloads through Nintendo eShop while North American customers will be able to purchase the Resident Evil Origins Collections which comprises of Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil 1. Pre-orders will open up on February 28, 2019, while its official release date will be on May 21, 2019.
