#Microsoft collaboration

iFixit has expanded its collaboration with Microsoft to include official repair parts for Xbox Series X and S consoles. The parts, now available on iFixit’s Microsoft Repair Hub, offer gamers the tools and guidance they need to maintain or repair their devices, reducing e-waste and extending the lifespan of their hardware. “We’re excited to be working with Microsoft to keep Xboxes running longer and out of the waste heap,” said Elizabeth Chamberlain, iFixit’s director of sustainability. This isn’t iFixit’s first collaboration with Microsoft. In 2023, the company began offering parts for Microsoft Surface devices, enabling users to repair laptops and tablets with ease. Microsoft offers first-party parts for its standard and Elite Series 2 controllers, complementing the console repair parts available through iFixit. The collaboration underscores Microsoft’s commitment to sustainability and consumer accessibility. While partnerships with tech giants like Microsoft and Valve are thriving, not all collaborations have lasted.
