Riot Games is bringing in a new game mode in League of Legends called Teamfight Tactics that is very similar on how the DoTA custom map, Auto Chess, works. This is much similar to the couriers of Auto Chess which will require players to play the game in order to earn in-game currencies. The company also specifically stated that this game mode is actually inspired by the DoTA Auto Chess map inside the DoTA 2 game which recently had a stand-alone mobile game. Dota's take on the famous Dota 2 custom map, Auto Chess, called Underlords is now in open beta stage. Valve has made an independent game called Dota Underlords on both Steam and mobile which has the core mechanics of the Auto Chess custom map. Made with Source2 game engine, the game features the hero roster of the Dota 2 game. Ranked matchmaking - just like with Auto Chess, players will have the chance to get up the ladder with ranked matches. Danylo “Dendi” Ishutin, a Dota 2 pro, has been defeated twice by the bot in a live 1-vs-1 match and he has mentioned that the bot "feels a little like [a] human, but a little like something else.” You can watch the entire gameplay below.
