Razer announces true surround sound headset, Tiamat 7.1 V2

Razer, the brand for gamers by gamers, announced today not just one, but two new gaming headsets.

The Razer Tiamat 7.1 V2 is an analog PC gaming headset that features true 7.1 surround sound, 10 discrete drivers, five per ear cup, delivering a very immersive soundstage. For gamers, true surround sound is important for pinpoint positional audio, highly accurate directional audio, as well as general deep gaming immersion. Each of the earcups contains a 40mm subwoofer, 30mm front and center drivers, and 20mm rear and side surround driers.

The Tiamat 7.1 V2 also comes with a new Audio Control Unit, which allows users to fully control the volume of each audio channel, as well as switch between true 7.1 surround sound and 2.0 stereo. It also has an audio pass-through, allowing you to switch between your headset and your speakers at the touch of a button. Being a gaming headset, it is also naturally equipped with a unidirectional digital boom microphone for in-game communication.

Razer has also announced the Razer Tiamat 2.2 V2 gaming headset that features two additional 50mm subwoofer drivers per ear cup, delivering maximum bass power to gamers who like their audio heavy. It comes equipped with an adjustable digital boom microphone, and an in-line remote with extension/splitter cable for compatibility with multiple devices.

The Razer Tiamat 7.1 V2 and Razer Tiamat 2.2 V2 are priced at $199.99 (~Php10k) and $129.99 (~Php6.5k), respectively. Both headsets are available via Razerstore.com and major retailers worldwide.
