If you’re a huge fan of the games back in the 90s, Nintendo just wants to hit those nostalgic feels right up in the alley with the announcement of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) Classic Edition.

The SNES Classic Edition is the follow-up to the NES Classic released late last year. Albeit made like the original SNES, the Classic version touts to be smaller and lighter.

Also bundled in the upcoming retro console are 21 games that were previously released such as Contra III: The Alien Wars, Super Castlevania IV, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. It will also include an unreleased title — Star Fox 2 — which was supposed to be the 3D-heavy sequel to the Star Fox franchise, also made for the SNES. The full list of games that will be included are as follows:

  • Contra III: The Alien Wars
  • Donkey Kong Country
  • EarthBound
  • Final Fantasy III
  • F-ZERO
  • Kirby Super Star
  • Kirby’s Dream Course
  • The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
  • Mega Man X
  • Secret of Mana
  • Star Fox
  • Star Fox 2

  • Super Castlevania IV
  • Super Ghouls ’n Ghosts
  • Super Mario Kart
  • Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
  • Super Mario World

  • Super Punch-Out!!
  • Yoshi’s Island

The Nintendo SNES Classic Edition will arrive by September in the US and other countries for USD80 or roughly Php4,100 before taxes and other fees.
