Capcom Showcase 2023: Remastered Ace Attorney Trilogy, Dragon’s Dogma 2 dev gameplay, Pragmata delayed indefinitely, and many more

Capcom has wrapped up its 2023 showcase and it was jam-packed with both exciting and unfortunate announcements including new details on Ace Attorney remaster, Dragon’s Dogma 2 developer gameplay, Pragmata delay and more.

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy arrives in 2024

Capcom has announced that Ace Attorney 4, 5, and 6 will be remastered in HD and compiled into one collection called the Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy. The set will include Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice, and will be available on Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC in early 2024.

Action-adventure game ‘Pragmata’ delayed indefinitely

Capcom also revealed that the release of its upcoming action-adventure game, Pragmata, has been delayed from 2023 to an unknown future date. The news was presented in a thoughtful and creative way within its new teaser trailer whereas a piece of paper was shown saying “2022 → 2023? VERY Sorry”.

The delay was later confirmed on the end screen, with Capcom’s statement saying that their team is “currently hard at work making the best game that we possibly can, but we need more time.”

Dragon’s Dogma 2 developer gameplay released

During the showcase, Capcom released a developer gameply video for Dragon’s Dogma 2, displaying the expansive fantasy world that players will soon explore. The trailer introduced the new Pawn system, which allows NPC characters to join players in fighting the game’s massive beasts.

Capcom also revealed that the game world is four times larger than the first installment, and that combat is designed to encourage players to approach it creatively. Dragon’s Dogma 2 is set to be released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess trailer showcases an action game fused with Japanese folklore

Just like Capcom’s Monster Hunter franchise, the Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess also lets the player slay monsters with swords. Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is an action game that incorporates Japanese folklore. The premise involves the defilement of a sacred mountain which has caused a blight to spread across the land. This has attracted creatures called the ‘Seethe’, which the player must fight to clear the way for the Spirit Stone Maiden to perform a rite of cleansing and restore the lands.

According to Capcom, the gameplay will center around both action and strategy. The game will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC and is running on the RE Engine.

Exoprimal new trailer reveals roadmap, battle passes; 2nd open beta from June 16-18

Capcom has recently released a new trailer for Exoprimal, which is set to be released on July 14. The trailer showcased the game’s live service elements such as the roadmap and battle pass. In addition, the trailer also provided a deeper look into the game’s story. There will also be a second open beta test from June 16 to June 18.

Ghost Trick demo released

The Ghost Trick remaster, a mystery game from the creator and writer of the original Ace Attorney trilogy, Shu Takumi, will be out on June 30th. Players can try out a demo of the game now, and any progress made in the demo will carry over to the main game’s release later this month. The game will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Mega Man X Dive Offline: new mobile game coming to iOS, Android, and Steam

Mega Man X Dive Offline takes players on a 2D side-scrolling adventure through The Deep Log, a digital repository of information from all of the Mega Man X games. With a roster of characters from throughout the franchise, players can complete missions while leveling up characters, weapons, and more.

This offline version of the mobile and PC gacha game of the same name is a smart move by Capcom, especially since the Japanese version, known as ‘Rockman X Dive’, will no longer be available after September. While the US and EU servers will remain online, it’s great that players can still access this game without needing the main server to keep the Mega Man X legacy alive.
