With Xbox announcing that the Game Pass’s prices will increase, Sony is following suit as well. Sony is planning to raise the PlayStation Pass starting September 6.
From USD 60, Sony will increase the Essential subscription to USD 80. The Extra subscription will now cost USD 135 annually while the Premium plan will have a price tag of USD 160.
Current PS Plus users will not feel this price change until their next renewal date that’s on or after November 6. Should users change their plans from September 6 like change tiers, then the new pricing will take effect.
There’s no announced changes to the monthly or quarterly plans of the PS Plus.
