Tencent’s popular MOBA, Honor of Kings, is teaming up with Jujutsu Kaisen to bring exclusive skins and exciting in-game content featuring characters from the fan-favorite anime series. Incorporating the ever-popular Jujutsu Kaisen characters is a smart move for Tencent as it positions Honor of Kings to tap into the international fanbase of the anime, which has remained one of the most popular shonen series globally. The Tencent-owned developer TiMi Studio Group and Capcom have announced partnership in developing a mobile game derived from the Monster Hunter series. In the lawsuit filed, Tencent, the parent company of Riot Games, claimed that Moonton's game "Mobile Legends: Bang Bang" has been "blatant copying" extensively from their own game "League of Legends: Wild Rift". Later on, Tencent stepped in and sued Moonton's CEO over violations of a non-compete agreement and with Tencent receiving USD 2.9 million in settlement back in 2018. Tencent Games reportedly plans to acquire Xiaomi's BlackShark Gaming division in a deal worth approximately CNY 3 billion, or over USD 470 million.
