The collection, set for release in 2025, brings together more than a decade of Mortal Kombat history, spanning from the franchise’s 1992 debut to handheld Game Boy Advance entries. The biggest surprise is the inclusion of the WaveNet edition of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, a version that has not been playable since it appeared briefly in arcades in 1997. The Kollection also adds two PlayStation-era titles that have been difficult to access for decades: Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero (1997) and Mortal Kombat Special Forces (2000). confirmed Mortal Kombat Trilogy (1996), newly optimized for modern platforms with faster load times, making gameplay smoother than ever. Digital and physical versions of Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection will be widely available. Physical copies for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2 are scheduled to ship on December 12, 2025.
