Now, it’s finally here, and we get to see the official Magic the Gathering Final Fantasy set. But whether you’re a Final Fantasy fan, a MTG fan, or even both – is it worth the hype (and maybe the premium)? Well, we just got the Magic the Gather Final Fantasy set – from booster packs to commander decks, and let’s find out. If there’s one good thing about the Magic the Gathering Final Fantasy set, it’s that you have a lot of options to choose from. Considering that there are currently 16 Final Fantasy games, most of the main cast members from each game do get their own card. There are four commander decks you can choose from – Revival Trance featuring Terra from Final Fantasy VI, Limit Break featuring Cloud from Final Fantasy VII, Counter Blitz featuring Tidus from Final Fantasy X, and Scions & Spellcraft featuring Y’shtola from Final Fantasy XIV. As a big Final Fantasy fan, I do wish they added more like Squall from Final Fantasy VIII or even Zidane from Final Fantasy IX. If you are looking for the main characters from other Final Fantasy games, you will have to try your luck on the booster packs.
