Anyone Can Now Host an Official MLBB Tournament — Here’s How

MOONTON, the developer behind the popular mobile game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), has announced a bold new initiative aimed at empowering grassroots esports organizers around the world. Dubbed “MLBB Esports for Everyone,” this project opens the doors for anyone — from schools and community centers to local businesses — to host their own official MLBB tournaments with support directly from MOONTON.

The initiative is part of MOONTON’s broader vision to make esports more accessible and inclusive. Organizers can now register their tournaments via a dedicated website set up for the MLBB E-Project, with the chance to receive various forms of official support.

Tournaments are split into two tiers based on the prize pool:

  • Tier 5: For tournaments with a prize pool below $5,000 USD
  • Tier 4: For tournaments with a prize pool above $5,000 USD

*$5,000 USD ≈ ₱280,000 PHP

While both tiers offer key support such as IP authorization, tournament lobby access, and in-game items, Tier 4 events receive significantly more benefits. These include social media promotions, in-game promotions, and community promotions, giving organizers the ability to reach a much wider audience.

One of the major benefits for Tier 4 events is the faster turnaround time for approval. Tournaments offering more than $5,000 in prizes will be reviewed within 5 to 10 business days, while smaller tournaments may take 10 to 15 business days to get the green light. Organizers are advised to double-check all forms for accuracy and to keep an eye on their email inboxes for follow-up communication. Incomplete applications are a common reason for delays or rejections.

MOONTON has made the entire process as accessible as possible. Once an event concludes, organizers are required to submit a post-event report within 5 to 10 working days through the same platform. This helps MOONTON keep track of events, measure their impact, and fine-tune support for future tournaments.

The idea behind this initiative is to decentralize esports and encourage growth at the community level. By offering official resources and visibility, even small-scale tournaments can feel like professional events. It’s a win-win for players, fans, and local organizers, who now have a viable pathway into the esports scene without needing massive budgets or corporate backing.

This move by MOONTON mirrors trends across the gaming industry where developers are beginning to recognize the power of community-driven competition. By lowering the entry barrier and providing structured support, MOONTON is not only investing in the future of MLBB esports but also making it more fun, fair, and inclusive for everyone.
