Riot Games Philippines is revving up the local esports scene once again as it officially announces the return of Wild Rounds: Pilipinas Open for its second season — and this year promises to be even wilder. The grassroots tournament for League of Legends: Wild Rift kicks off with registration for Split 1 starting May 10, featuring a significantly boosted prize pool of ₱1.5 million and a competitive roadmap spanning from Q2 to Q4 of 2025. Beyond the main competition, Riot PH is expanding its grassroots presence through a series of activations, including: Wild Rift Wednesdays – A weekly community stream launched in April that brings together fans and popular creators for casual games and spotlights. Ground Zero Tournament Series – Regional grassroots competitions starting this May, running until October, designed to showcase amateur and emerging talents from local communities. MOONTON, the developer behind the popular mobile game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), has announced a bold new initiative aimed at empowering grassroots esports organizers around the world. Dubbed "MLBB Esports for Everyone," this project opens the doors for anyone — from schools and community centers to local businesses — to host their own official MLBB tournaments with support directly from MOONTON.
