Acer is stepping up its gaming lineup this year with powerful new devices under both its Predator and Nitro series, announced at IFA 2025. The highlight is the Predator Helios 18P AI, an 18-inch gaming laptop designed to deliver desktop-level performance in a portable body.
The Helios 18P AI can be packed with up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 laptop GPU, and as much as 6TB SSD storage. It also features a 4K Mini LED display and Acer’s custom cooling system using thin fans, liquid metal grease, and heat pipes. While Acer hasn’t revealed the exact price yet, the company confirmed that it will be available in North America first before expanding to other regions, including Asia. Expect this model to be priced well above ₱200,000 once it reaches the Philippines.
Acer also introduced the Predator X27U F8 monitor, a 26.5-inch OLED display that can push up to a crazy 720Hz refresh rate at 720p, or run at 1440p with a standard high refresh rate. This monitor will go on sale in early 2026 for $1,300 (around ₱75,000), making it one of the most advanced esports-ready monitors on the market.
On the more budget-friendly Nitro side, Acer announced the Nitro V 16 and Nitro V 16S laptops. Both will carry Intel Core 9 processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPUs, paired with 180Hz displays. The Nitro V 16 will arrive in October for $1,000 (around ₱58,000), while the slimmer Nitro V 16S will follow in November at $1,100 (around ₱64,000). New Nitro monitors, including a curved 39.7-inch 5K display, will also roll out in early 2026.
These new devices show Acer’s push to cater to both hardcore and entry-level gamers, with options that should eventually reach the Philippine market.
