Capcom, Aniplex, and JOYCITY have announced Resident Evil: Survival Unit, a new real-time strategy game coming to iOS and Android. Described as a tactical twist on the Resident Evil universe, the game is being built specifically for mobile platforms, with input from Capcom to ensure it stays true to the series. While no release date has been confirmed, the project is part of Capcom’s broader push into mobile, alongside recent ports of Resident Evil 4 Remake and Village on iOS. The announcement comes just months after Capcom revealed Resident Evil: Requiem, the next mainline entry arriving in early 2026. Capcom has officially announced Resident Evil Requiem, the ninth mainline installment in its iconic survival horror series, during the Summer Game Fest 2025. Resident Evil Requiem introduces players to a new protagonist, FBI agent Grace Ashcroft, who is investigating a series of mysterious deaths at the Remwood Hotel—the same location where her mother, Alyssa Ashcroft, was murdered eight years prior. Alyssa Ashcroft is a character from the 2004 title Resident Evil Outbreak, and her connection to Grace adds a layer of depth to the narrative. Capcom describes Resident Evil Requiem as a blend of psychological horror and high-stakes cinematic action.
