Nintendo, in partnership with Capcom, has announced at E3 2019 that two more Resident Evil game titles, Resident Evil 5 and 6, will be joining the roster for the Nintendo Switch port this year. Resident Evil 5 follows boulder-punching Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar as they fight through a zombie-infested city in Africa where they are tasked to stop bio-organic weapons (BOW) being sold in the black market there. For Resident Evil 6, you will have to control multiple iconic characters from past RE games and make way into each of their stories in the game. The Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 is coming to the Nintendo Switch console this Fall of 2019. Capcom, Aniplex, and JOYCITY have announced Resident Evil: Survival Unit, a new real-time strategy game coming to iOS and Android. Described as a tactical twist on the Resident Evil universe, the game is being built specifically for mobile platforms, with input from Capcom to ensure it stays true to the series. While no release date has been confirmed, the project is part of Capcom’s broader push into mobile, alongside recent ports of Resident Evil 4 Remake and Village on iOS. The announcement comes just months after Capcom revealed Resident Evil: Requiem, the next mainline entry arriving in early 2026.
