While the PS5 Pro’s hardware upgrades, such as 28% faster RAM and 67% more compute units for enhanced ray-tracing, are notable, it’s the PSSR technology that may help PlayStation compete more effectively with Nvidia’s DLSS. According to Mike Fitzgerald, Core Technology Director at Insomniac Games, players can expect enhanced graphical options, including advanced ray-tracing, ultra-widescreen support, and the ability to adjust various graphics settings to match different hardware capabilities. Also confirmed: the custom Nvidia chip powering the console will include dedicated RT Cores and Tensor Cores, allowing the Switch 2 to handle real-time ray tracing. Mojang, in partnership with NVIDIA, revealed that their most iconic game of all time, Minecraft, will have a Ray Tracing implementation in the game very soon. Devices that run on Windows  10 and supports DirectX R with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPU will be able to experience the Ray Tracing capabilities inside Minecraft. RT (ray-tracing) cores, on the other hand, enable real-time ray tracing, which has been a pipe dream in the graphics industry for years now. The real-time ray tracing worked amazingly in both games, however, at 1080p, SOTTR was unable to hit a 60fps despite the demo machine running an RTX 2080.
