Ubisoft has officially teased Siege X, a major transformation for Rainbow Six Siege, promising a new era of tactical gameplay, graphical and audio overhauls, and more. While some fans speculated about a possible Rainbow Six Siege 2, Ubisoft has clarified that this is not a sequel, but a massive upgrade designed to propel the game into its second decade of live service. Originally launched in December 2015, Rainbow Six Siege had a rough start, but through years of updates and community-driven improvements, it became one of the most successful competitive shooters of all time. With Rainbow Six Siege approaching its 10-year anniversary, the stakes are high. If Siege X delivers on its promise, it could solidify Rainbow Six Siege’s place for another decade. Fans won’t have to wait long to learn more—March 13 is set to be a pivotal moment for Rainbow Six Siege players worldwide. The tactical co-op action video game, Rainbow Six Extraction, formerly known as Rainbow Six Quarantine, made its gameplay debut during Ubisoft Forward, giving a glimpse of what to expect when the game officially launches on September 16. With development led by Ubisoft Montreal, Rainbow Six Extraction is a PvE co-op experience where one up to two other players can form a team composed of Rainbow Six Operators who have joined Ash, Mira, and Thermite to form the Rainbow Exogenous Analysis and Containment Team (REACT).
