#Microsoft account migration Minecraft

Minecraft will soon require Minecraft players to sign in with a Microsoft account by 2021, including those with the Minecraft Java Edition. As Minecraft posted on its blog, the new policy will increase the security of the player's account with two-factor authentication. All PC Minecraft games and progress will be connected to the same account. Since the initiative is mandatory, players won't be able to play Minecraft without logging in on their Microsoft account. Those who will migrate their accounts will receive a special cape as a reward once they logged in with their Microsoft account. Batches will move players to Microsoft accounts. Once they use a Microsoft account to log in to Minecraft, they'll never be able to log in to their Mojang account.
