Meta is rolling out major upgrades to Horizon Worlds, its Roblox-like social platform, with the goal of making the metaverse more appealing to both players and creators. The most significant change is the introduction of the new Horizon Engine, which Meta says will deliver better graphics, faster performance, and the ability to support larger numbers of players in virtual spaces. To support creators, Meta also unveiled Horizon Studio, a new editor designed to make it easier to build custom VR worlds. Developers can already use generative AI tools to create textures and audio, but Meta plans to add an AI assistant later this year. Meta is betting that stronger tools and higher-quality visuals will attract more users and developers. The updates highlight Meta’s continued investment in the metaverse, even as public interest has shifted to AI. MetaverseGo, a Web3 mobile gaming platform that onboards new players via a mobile phone login, has announced that it has raised USD 4.2 million in a seed round led by Galaxy Interactive.
