iFixit has expanded its collaboration with Microsoft to include official repair parts for Xbox Series X and S consoles. The parts, now available on iFixit’s Microsoft Repair Hub, offer gamers the tools and guidance they need to maintain or repair their devices, reducing e-waste and extending the lifespan of their hardware. “We’re excited to be working with Microsoft to keep Xboxes running longer and out of the waste heap,” said Elizabeth Chamberlain, iFixit’s director of sustainability. This isn’t iFixit’s first collaboration with Microsoft. Microsoft offers first-party parts for its standard and Elite Series 2 controllers, complementing the console repair parts available through iFixit. Beyond Xbox, iFixit has been a go-to source for parts for a variety of devices. iFixit also provides repair parts for Google Pixel phones and tablets. Earlier this year, iFixit’s partnership with Samsung came to an end, leaving a gap in its offerings for Samsung device owners.
