In a twist that few saw coming, accessory maker Hyperkin has announced a brand-new Guitar Hero controller for Nintendo’s Wii console, set to launch in January 2025. Still, Hyperkin believes there is a solid market for its new guitar peripheral, dubbed the Hyper Strummer. This new Hyperkin guitar gives collectors and returning fans a reliable way to revisit old favorites without hunting down a potentially unreliable pre-owned peripheral. A dependable controller is crucial for players chasing those perfect runs, and Hyperkin’s device might be just what they need. It seems CES 2018 wasn't just an avenue for new hardware as Hyperkin, a well-known retro game console developer, announced their prototype revival of a classic handheld console -- The Game Boy. This isn't just a mere revival though, as Hyperkin also beefed up the frame and body of the device and aptly named it the Ultra Game Boy. Apart from the sturdier externals, Hyperkin also added a modern touch to the device's internals as the final model will feature a USB Type-C charge port and stereo audio. It started from an April Fool's joke, now, the Hyperkin Smartboy has become a reality and is now up for pre-order.
