Take-Two’s financial report for its second fiscal quarter of 2025, which concluded on September 30, 2024, indicates that Borderlands 4 will launch during the company’s fiscal 2026 year. Borderlands 4 was officially revealed during The Game Awards 2024 with a teaser that introduced new characters, hinted at the story, and teased the return of some familiar faces. Despite mixed reception to Borderlands 3, which faced criticism over launch performance issues and divisive characters like Ava, anticipation for the next installment remains strong. However, there’s still a question of whether Borderlands 4 might face delays. Industry analysts have even speculated that GTA 6’s release could slip into 2026, which might give Borderlands 4 a more favorable release window.
