Sony has provided a summary of the details regarding the backward compatibility of PlayStation 5. Backward compatible PS4 games included in PS Plus or PS Now can also run on PS5. Backward Compatibility: The Switch 2 will support both physical and digital games from the original Switch library. In celebration of 20 years, Microsoft Xbox has added 70 new titles to its Backward Compatible Games catalog. The Backward Compatibility feature includes having access to your old Xbox 360 game saves, add-ons, achievement, and gamerscore at no additional cost as long you previously purchased the game before. Additionally, every backward compatible title added will experience improved visual quality with Auto HDR on support displays, resolution increase on all Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles, and FPS boost. With backward compatibility on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S, gamers can play several EA games such as Star Wars: Squadrons, EA SPORTS UFC 4, NHL 21, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered, Apex Legends, and The Sims 4.
