Sega, the company behind popular games such as Sonic the Hedgehog and Mortal Kombat 2 is reportedly close to acquiring Rovio, the game developer responsible for the original Angry Birds game. Last February, Rovio also removed the original Angry Birds game from the Google Play Store and had the game renamed to "Red's First Flight" on Apple's App Store. Rovio has just announced on Twitter that the original Angry Birds game later renamed to "Rovio Classics: Angry Birds" will now be delisted from the Google Play Store this Thursday, February 23. However, there is good news for those who still wish to play the original Angry Birds as they also stated that the game will remain playable on devices on which the game has been downloaded even after it has been delisted. To download the original Angry Birds before it gets delisted, you can head to Google's Play Store. Mojang’s Minecraft on Wednesday has announced collaboration with Rovio Entertainment bringing Angry Birds into the sandbox game as a downloadable content (DLC). Oreville Studios which provides content for the Minecraft Marketplace developed the said DLC, taking familiar visuals, sounds, and characters from the classic Angry Birds game merged into Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.
