Roblox is rolling out shortform video features, letting users capture and share clips directly on the platform. The new “Moments” feed will act as a central hub where players can post gameplay highlights, creative builds, or fun in-game experiences for others to watch.
The announcement came during Roblox’s annual developer conference, where the company outlined its plans to expand beyond gaming into a broader social and creative platform. With Moments, Roblox appears to be taking cues from TikTok and YouTube Shorts, aiming to keep users engaged with quick, shareable content.
Alongside the video update, Roblox also unveiled new AI-powered tools to make game creation easier. These tools are designed to help developers generate assets, streamline workflows, and bring higher-fidelity games to life without requiring extensive resources.
The company also said it is working on engine improvements to better support advanced graphics and more complex worlds, giving developers the chance to build experiences that look and feel closer to traditional AAA games.
Roblox, which already hosts millions of games and a massive creator community, is positioning these updates as the next step in its evolution from a game platform into a full creative ecosystem.
