Microsoft has rolled out a major audio upgrade in Windows 11 that solves a long-standing problem for gamers and Bluetooth headset users. With the Windows 11 24H2 update, users can now enjoy full stereo Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) Audio even when using the microphone. Previously, Bluetooth audio on Windows would drop to mono when the microphone was activated. To take advantage of this update, you’ll need Windows 11 version 24H2, a Bluetooth LE Audio-compatible headset, and the latest audio drivers. Microsoft is testing a new feature in its Xbox app for Windows 11 that could make gaming on a PC, especially handhelds, much easier. For apps not already installed, like GOG Galaxy, the Xbox app attempted to handle the download and installation process without needing to go back to the Windows desktop. The idea behind the new feature is to reduce the need for gamers to interact with the traditional Windows desktop interface, which can be clunky on handheld PCs. Some users have criticized Windows 11 for being too complex for gaming-focused handhelds.
