Nvidia is gearing up for the launch of its GeForce RTX 5000 series GPUs with a major AI-driven upgrade—DLSS 4. Headlining the list are some of the biggest upcoming titles, including Stalker 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Alan Wake 2. DLSS 4 represents the next evolution of Deep Learning Super Sampling, Nvidia’s AI-powered upscaling and frame-generation technology. Unlike previous versions, Multi Frame Generation in DLSS 4 can generate up to three AI-generated frames for every traditionally rendered frame, offering a massive boost in frame rates while maintaining smooth visuals. One of the most impressive demonstrations of DLSS 4’s power came during CES 2025, where Black Myth: Wukong was showcased running at max settings on an RTX 5090. Without DLSS 4, the game dipped below 30 FPS, but with the technology enabled, it skyrocketed to a jaw-dropping 240 FPS. Some highly anticipated future releases will also support DLSS 4 at launch, including Black State, DOOM: The Dark Ages, and Dune Awakening. A standout title benefiting from DLSS 4 will be Alan Wake 2, which is upgrading its engine to include not just DLSS 4, but also RTX Mega Geometry.
