Indie developer Rat Cliff Games has announced that their upcoming metafictional horror game Among Ashes will officially launch on December 9. Set in the early 2000s, Among Ashes takes players into a unique blend of retro survival horror and modern psychological terror. However, as the in-game horrors unfold, players will notice strange and unsettling occurrences bleeding into their real-world surroundings. Within the overarching narrative, players experience a fully realized retro-style first-person survival horror game, Night Call. Fans of retro horror titles and psychological thrillers are likely to be drawn to its gripping narrative and immersive presentation. High on Life 2 is upping the craziness of its comedy shooter world, not just with new weapons and characters, but also by sneaking in fully playable retro games. Sony is set to launch Midnight Murder Club, its console-exclusive “horror party game,” on Thursday, August 14, and, unusually, it’ll also arrive on PC that same day. Today, the company launched Retro Classics, a new collection of over 50 beloved Activision titles from the ’80s and ’90s—think Pitfall!, Grand Prix, Cosmic Ark, and MechWarrior 2: 31st Century Combat—now available at no extra cost to Game Pass subscribers.
