HoYoverse, the developer behind the global sensation Genshin Impact, is reportedly working on a new open-world game codenamed "Project Shanghai." Drawing inspiration from Western titles like Grand Theft Auto, this project is said to be more ambitious than any of HoYoverse's previous endeavors. In a first for the series, players will physically drive from one race to another in Grand Prix mode, creating a seamless and immersive experience that blends exploration with competition. This is the second iteration of the game to offer players an open-world kind of experience with larger than normal instance maps and battlegrounds.
