Sony is reportedly in advanced discussions to acquire Kadokawa Corporation, the parent company of FromSoftware, known for its globally acclaimed titles such as Elden Ring and the Dark Souls series. Acquiring the company would grant Sony full control over FromSoftware, raising the possibility that future titles from the studio could become PlayStation exclusives. Fans are eagerly awaiting the studio’s next major project following the success of Elden Ring and its DLC Shadow of the Erdtree, and this potential acquisition adds an intriguing layer of speculation about what lies ahead. FromSoftware, in partnership with Bandai Namco, has announced a new Action Role-Playing Game (RPG) called Elden Ring at E3 2019. Some bits also shows a giant disappearing dramatically which could indicate that it is an enemy. The world of Elden Ring is designed and created by Hidetaka Miyazaki (FromSoftware's president) and George R.R. With Elden Ring Nightreign less than a month from launch on May 30, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco have dropped a new overview trailer that not only showcases the game’s ever-evolving Limveld battleground and three-player Nightfarer co-op but also reveals a wealth of fan-service cosmetics lifted straight from the Dark Souls universe. Key costumes include the sun-soaked mail of Solaire of Astoria, the stoic knight Faraam from Dark Souls II, and the grim attire of Ringfinger Leonhard from Dark Souls III.
