Bungie’s Destiny franchise is officially expanding to mobile with Destiny: Rising, a free-to-play sci-fi RPG shooter launching on iOS and Android on August 28. Now, nearly a year after limited playtests rolled out to select regions, Destiny: Rising is ready for a full global launch, with pre-registration now open via Google Play and the App Store. Players will take on the role of a customizable Lightbearer named Wolf or fight alongside well-known characters from the Destiny universe, including Ikora Rey and Iron Lord Jolder. Set in a prequel-like alternate universe, Destiny: Rising offers a separate narrative foundation while retaining key Destiny lore and mechanics.
