2K Games and Gearbox Software has announced the reveal trailer of the continuation of one of its most popular game franchises -- the Borderlands 3. More information will be released on Borderlands 3 on April 3, 2019. Fans of the Borderlands series can finally breathe a little easier with new details suggesting a more precise release window for Borderlands 4. Take-Two’s financial report for its second fiscal quarter of 2025, which concluded on September 30, 2024, indicates that Borderlands 4 will launch during the company’s fiscal 2026 year. This narrows the potential release window to between April 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026. Considering the teaser trailer’s emphasis on a 2025 release, fans can reasonably expect the game to drop sometime between April and December 2025. Borderlands 4 was officially revealed during The Game Awards 2024 with a teaser that introduced new characters, hinted at the story, and teased the return of some familiar faces. Despite mixed reception to Borderlands 3, which faced criticism over launch performance issues and divisive characters like Ava, anticipation for the next installment remains strong.
