#Activision mobile game discontinuation

Activision has announced the discontinuation of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, just over a year after its global release on March 21, 2024. Despite an impressive start with over 15 million downloads in the first four days, the game failed to meet expectations among mobile-first players, leading to its removal from the App Store and Google Play as of May 18, 2025 . By logging in with their Activision account, players can receive double their remaining COD Points and additional rewards in Call of Duty: Mobile. Despite shared progression features and significant investment, the game struggled with performance and optimization issues, leading to its underperformance in the competitive mobile gaming market. Blizzard has announced that it is no longer developing new content for its mobile game Warcraft Rumble. The game was Blizzard’s first mobile-only title set in the Warcraft universe. At one point, Blizzard was also working on a second mobile game similar to Pokémon Go, but that project was canceled in 2022 before it was officially revealed. Riot Games is bringing its popular tactical shooter, VALORANT, to mobile devices, aiming to deliver the same precise gunplay and strategic team-based combat that fans love.
