The Mobile Legends Developmental League Philippines (MDL PH) has been shaken by a major scandal after five players from Twisted Minds Bear (TMB) were caught engaging in match-fixing during Season 6.

Following a joint investigation by the league and the team, Salem, RycoGod, NERPZU, Nasty Uno, and Daizo were found guilty of deliberately manipulating match outcomes. Screenshots of private conversations hinting at the scheme had circulated online, sparking scrutiny and eventually leading to the probe.

As punishment, all five players have been handed two-year suspensions starting September 1, 2025, until September 1, 2027. They are prohibited from competing in any tournaments under the MLBB Esports ecosystem, including MPL PH, MDL PH, and Moonton-backed events.

Twisted Minds responded swiftly by ending its partnership with Bear Esports and permanently banning the implicated players from ever representing the organization. The team stressed its zero-tolerance policy against cheating and match manipulation, vowing to introduce stricter oversight to prevent similar incidents in the future.

The MDL Committee called the violation a serious breach of professionalism and integrity, reminding all participants that competitive fairness is the backbone of esports. It emphasized that any attempt to throw games undermines not only opponents but also the trust of fans who support the league.

This is not the first time match-fixing has cast a shadow on the Mobile Legends scene. Both MDL and MPL PH have previously faced similar controversies, which continue to raise concerns about discipline and integrity within the competitive ecosystem.

With these latest bans, the league is once again sending a strong message: players who compromise competitive integrity will face the harshest consequences.
