Lenovo has officially revealed the Legion Go 2, the successor to its original handheld gaming PC. The new device is larger, more powerful, and comes with several major upgrades, including an OLED screen, a bigger battery, and redesigned controllers. It launches globally this October, though there is no word yet on its release in the Philippines.
The Legion Go 2 continues with detachable wireless controllers, drift-resistant Hall effect joysticks, a built-in kickstand, and a unique mouse mode for FPS titles. The redesigned controllers now feature sculpted grips and a pivot-point D-pad, improving comfort and precision.
One of the biggest changes is the 8.8-inch OLED display. With a resolution of 1920 x 1200, it supports 30–144Hz variable refresh rate and peaks at 1000 nits brightness, offering smoother gameplay and richer visuals. The lower resolution compared to the first Legion Go also means it will be easier for the handheld’s AMD Ryzen Z2 or Z2 Extreme chips to deliver consistent frame rates.
The battery has been boosted to 74 watt-hours, about 50 percent larger than the original model. Storage starts at 1TB, with options up to 2TB, and memory configurations can go up to 32GB. Lenovo has also added a fingerprint reader in the power button for extra convenience.
Pricing internationally begins at $1,099, with higher-end configurations reaching up to $1,479. Local pricing and availability in the Philippines remain unconfirmed.
Beyond hardware, Lenovo confirmed that the Legion Go 2 will support Microsoft’s new Xbox full-screen experience (FSE) in spring 2026. This makes it the first handheld outside of Asus’ Xbox Ally series to receive the feature. Xbox FSE promises a lighter, more console-like version of Windows designed for improved performance and smoother navigation with a controller.
Asus devices will get the Xbox FSE first in October 2025, but Lenovo owners will have to wait until 2026 to manually switch to the new interface.
With its upgraded design and upcoming Xbox integration, the Legion Go 2 is positioning itself as one of the most advanced Windows handhelds on the market.
