HONOR is back on the global esports stage as the Official Smartphone Partner for the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025, the Esports World Cup Foundation announced on Friday. After a successful collaboration at the 2024 tournament, HONOR is renewing its commitment to elite mobile competition by supplying its latest device, the HONOR Magic7 Pro, to the world’s top mobile esports athletes.
The HONOR Magic7 Pro is designed specifically for competitive gaming, featuring the powerful Snapdragon® 8 Elite Mobile Platform, a cutting-edge Ultra-wide Area Cooling System, and AI-driven enhancements aimed at delivering optimal performance in the most demanding scenarios. Its 1–120Hz dynamic refresh rate display and AI eye-comfort features are engineered to support marathon gaming sessions, while the AI Gaming Suite introduces real-time rendering for near-PC-level graphics.
With tournaments for Honor of Kings, PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and Free Fire, the smartphone will power players competing for a combined prize pool of over $10 million. Each of these games draws some of the world’s top mobile competitors, and their inclusion in EWC 2025 positions the Magic7 Pro as the centerpiece of the mobile esports experience.
HONOR’s return to EWC also reflects its deeper investment in mobile gaming and esports culture. The company plans to feature branded lounges and experience zones similar to last year’s showcase, where fans interacted directly with HONOR’s technology. New features in the Magic7 Pro—like stereo speakers with spatial audio, IP68/IP69 durability, and the HONOR Nanocrystal Shield—make it both performance-ready and resistant to the rigors of high-stakes play.
Dr. Rui Guo, Group CMO of HONOR Device Co., said the company is proud to continue supporting elite mobile esports. “Our technology enables players to push their limits and achieve new heights,” Guo said. “We look forward to seeing HONOR smartphones power the best esports athletes in the world as they strive for international greatness at the Esports World Cup.”
The Esports World Cup 2025 returns to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from July 7 to August 24, bringing together more than 2,000 elite players across 24 games. With over $70 million in total prize money, this year’s edition will be the largest in esports history. The event will feature not only gaming tournaments but also live entertainment, cosplay, anime cafés, and interactive zones drawing millions of fans both online and onsite.
Mike McCabe, COO of the Esports World Cup Foundation, said HONOR’s return enhances the competitive environment. “Their continued collaboration ensures our players are equipped with elite tools that elevate performance and unlock new levels of play,” he said.
HONOR’s commitment also reflects Saudi Arabia’s growing role in global esports. “With the HONOR Magic7 Pro, we aim to give the new generation of gamers in the Kingdom a powerful tool to compete and enhance their gaming experience,” said Jerry Liao, HONOR Saudi Arabia Country Manager.
As esports continues its explosive growth, HONOR’s investment in the space positions it not only as a tech innovator but as a major player in the future of mobile competition.
