HoYoverse has officially revealed the next big update for Genshin Impact. On September 10, Version Luna I, titled “Song of the Welkin Moon: Segue”, will arrive, marking the start of a yearlong storyline centered around the mysteries of the moon.
The update introduces Nod-Krai, a brand-new region north of Natlan, where players can explore three large islands filled with unique landscapes, people, and secrets. The Archon Quests will feature major battles against the Fatui and the mysterious Harbinger Sandrone, also known as the “Marionette.” Travelers will also meet Columbina, a former Harbinger who has returned to her homeland and is honored as the “Moon Maiden.”
Nod-Krai is powered by a new elemental force called Kuuvahki, which influences both the environment and its inhabitants. Players can use this power for exploration, combat strategies, and even transform into a special lifeform called Kuuhenki to travel through mist and Moonlanes.
Three new characters join the roster with this update:
- Lauma, a Dendro Catalyst user with animal-like transformations.
- Flins, an Electro Polearm wielder who channels the energy of the “Wild Hunt.”
- Aino, a Hydro Claymore inventor who brings along her quirky device, the Knuckle Duckle.
Other highlights include “Meeting Points” to spend time with companions, optimizations like artifact previews and expanded team slots, and a new level cap reaching 100. To celebrate Genshin’s 5th anniversary, players will also receive a free 5-star character, Primogems, Intertwined Fates, and more.
HoYoverse also teased Miliastra Wonderland, a UGC feature coming in Version Luna II, which will let fans create their own stages and share them with the community.
