Papaya Gaming is spicing up competitive mobile gaming by adding a city-building feature called TOWNS, which is now live across all its games. Unlike the usual city-builder titles, this one combines strategy with competitive play, giving gamers a new reason to keep grinding tournaments.
The feature unlocks once players reach level five. From there, they can earn Golden Nuggets, an in-game currency awarded through tournaments, and use them to slowly build themed cities. Each city comes with seven buildings, and Papaya has already released creative themes like Underwater, Satellites, and Carnivals to keep the experience fresh.
Progressing in TOWNS isn’t just for show. Players who finish a city get rewards such as cash, gems, and even collectible cards before moving on to the next. With 77 cities already available and new ones released every three weeks, players share a fixed path of progression, which builds both competition and community. A built-in map also lets users track where they are and what’s next.
Papaya has also added boosters like “Nugget Rush” that can double or triple a player’s earnings and discount perks to make building cheaper. This makes the grind more rewarding for those aiming to finish cities faster.
Looking ahead, Papaya teased a multiplayer update that will allow players to attack each other’s cities and steal Nuggets. While details remain scarce, this addition could make gameplay more social and competitive, adding another layer of fun for mobile gamers.
