If you own a Nintendo Switch and play online multiplayer games, be sure to make the best out of the time you have left to play online for free, as Nintendo is launching their paid online multiplayer service later this year.

Like Sony’s PlayStation Network and Microsoft’s Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch Online will be a subscription-based service that allows players to enjoy online cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes across titles that support it.

The service will also work in conjunction with the Nintendo Switch Online mobile app for iOS and Android. It allows you to send online play invites to friends, use voice chat, and see game-specific stats. It is initially compatible with Splatoon 2, letting you see your online stats and gear.

Enjoy the freedom of unpaid online play while you can, as Nintendo Switch Online is launching in September 2018.
