Nintendo has released detailed membership plans, pricing, and features of their upcoming online paid service called Nintendo Switch Online.
To give you a recap, Nintendo Switch Online was announced in June 2017. It is a paid service similar to the PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold that lets Switch owners enjoy online multiplayer gaming among other features.
Nintendo Switch Online features include:
• Coop gameplay for compatible games like Splatoon 2, ARMS, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Tennis Aces, and Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido.
• Play 20 NES games online such as Donkey Kong, Ice Climber, Balloon Fight, and The Legend of Zelda.
• Save Data Cloud Backup
• Support for Nintendo Switch Online app
• Special offers
Nintendo is offering two types of memberships – Individual and Family. Individual membership starts at $3.99 for 1 month, $7.99 for 3 months, and $19.99 for 12 months. Family membership (account holder + 7 others) costs $34.99 for 12 months.
The Nintendo Switch Online service will launch in September 2018.
