Gran Turismo 7 Unveils Thrilling F3500-A V12 Racer

Gran Turismo 7 enthusiasts have something exciting to look forward to: the introduction of the F3500-A, a new formula-style race car, unveiled during the World Series World Finals in Amsterdam. This naturally aspirated V12 machine isn’t modeled after any specific real-world vehicle but draws clear inspiration from the iconic racers of the 1990s.

Under the hood, the F3500-A boasts a mid-mounted engine delivering an impressive 784 brake horsepower (bhp) and weighs in at a mere 505 kilograms. These specifications contribute to a performance point rating of approximately 984pp, as showcased during the World Series event. The engine’s capability to rev up to 14,500 revolutions per minute (rpm) produces a distinctive, high-pitched sound, accompanied by sparks flying as the chassis grazes the track surface.

Currently, Gran Turismo 7 features the Gran Turismo F1500T-A, a fictional turbocharged open-wheeler reminiscent of 1980s Formula 1 cars. Additionally, Gran Turismo 6 introduced the Formula Gran Turismo, equipped with a V12 engine producing nearly 900bhp, which has appeared in various titles since Gran Turismo 5.

While the exact release date for the F3500-A in Gran Turismo 7 remains under wraps, fans can anticipate its arrival in an upcoming update slated for 2025. In the meantime, players can look forward to the January update, which will introduce Hyundai’s enthusiast electric car, the Ioniq 5 N.

The Ioniq 5 N is set to make its in-game debut in January 2025. Before its official inclusion, it will feature prominently at the World Finals in Amsterdam on December 7 and 8, serving as the designated car for the Qualifying Time Trial session of the Nations Cup World Finals. This event will be broadcast live across official channels and on Gran Turismo TV.

Adding to the excitement, the in-game Ioniq 5 N will be offered as a special reward in the Viewers Gift campaign, running in tandem with the World Finals. Players can secure their in-game Ioniq 5 N by tuning in to the Nations Cup via the campaign banner in the World Map of Gran Turismo 7.

Joon Park, Vice President of N Brand Management Group, expressed satisfaction with the ongoing collaboration with the Gran Turismo World Series, following the unveiling of the Ioniq 5 N TA Spec with Polyphony Digital at the 2024 Nürburgring 24-hour Endurance Race in May 2024.

Kazunori Yamauchi, Gran Turismo Series Producer, shared his enthusiasm for releasing the Ioniq 5 N to Gran Turismo 7, highlighting Hyundai N brand’s significant achievements in motorsport, including successes at Pikes Peak, the Nürburgring 24-hour race TCR class victory, the TCR World Tour championship, and the WRC drivers title. He looks forward to future collaborations between Gran Turismo and Hyundai in the Esport sector.

With these upcoming additions, Gran Turismo 7 continues to expand its diverse roster, offering players a blend of classic-inspired race cars and cutting-edge electric vehicles.
