Microsoft has rolled out a major audio upgrade in Windows 11 that solves a long-standing problem for gamers and Bluetooth headset users. With the Windows 11 24H2 update, users can now enjoy full stereo Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) Audio even when using the microphone. Previously, Bluetooth audio on Windows would drop to mono when the microphone was activated. To take advantage of this update, you’ll need Windows 11 version 24H2, a Bluetooth LE Audio-compatible headset, and the latest audio drivers. Microsoft has temporarily paused the rollout of its Windows 11 24H2 update for devices running specific Ubisoft games after numerous reports of crashes and black screens surfaced. Users began reporting issues shortly after the 24H2 update was installed, with some games becoming unresponsive or failing to launch altogether. These systems will not receive the 24H2 update through the standard Windows Update channels until the issue is addressed. Microsoft has also advised users against manually forcing the update via the Windows Installation Assistant or media creation tool.
