#Sony PS5 teardown

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has released its own teardown video of the PlayStation 5 which is scheduled to launch in November. According to Sony, the company has begun conceptualizing the PS5 in 2015, spending 5 years designing and developing the console. In the video, the teardown was led by Sony's VP of Mechanical Design Department, Yasuhiro Ootori, showing the internals of the PS5 which includes the CPU, GPU, memory, and cooling system. Most Sony console exclusives stay locked on PS5 for at least a year before hitting PC, but Midnight Murder Club breaks that pattern, just like Helldivers 2 and Concord before it. The Pulse Explore earbuds and Pulse Elite headset both utilize Sony’s low-latency lossless wireless audio codec, ensuring crisp and immersive sound across PS5, PlayStation Portal, Windows PCs, and macOS. The DualSense Edge, Sony’s premium pro-style controller, retains its deep customization options and PS5-optimized software integration, though it still suffers from the shorter battery life seen in its white variant. It’s likely that Sony is timing the release of additional enhanced games based on the PS5 Pro’s early sales, and the company has hinted that more titles may get Pro upgrades in the future.
