Google has introduced Project Stream which lets you stream and play AAA games straight to your Chrome browser on a laptop or desktop. Project Stream wants to push the limits of streaming technology by letting users play a graphically-rich game on the Chrome browser. In this case, Google partnered with Ubisoft to stream their soon-to-be-released Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Ubisoft appears to be gearing up for a major return to the battle royale arena with a new project that’s reportedly heavily inspired by Apex Legends. According to early sources, Project Scout is Ubisoft’s ambitious attempt to craft a hero-based battle royale shooter, featuring a playable roster of characters with distinct abilities—much like Apex Legends. With Project Scout, Ubisoft seems to be applying lessons learned from that experience, this time with a more refined and perhaps competitive vision tailored to current trends in the gaming landscape.
