The Nintendo Switch OLED is now available for purchase in select gaming stores in the country. According to Nintendo, the new display will feature a more vivid and power-saving screen compared to the original Switch. All previously released Joy-Con for Nintendo Switch are compatible with this new model. The Nintendo Switch OLED is priced at PHP 23,595 via iTech and comes with The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword game. Nintendo is sticking to its decision on the price of the new Switch 2, even after being asked if it’s too pricey for younger gamers. In response, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa explained that while the Switch 2 is more expensive than older consoles, it offers better features and a more exciting gaming experience. Nintendo is making strategic moves to ensure the successful domestic launch of its highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2. The original Nintendo Switch enjoyed remarkable popularity in Japan, and it’s clear that Nintendo wants to replicate—and even surpass—that success with its successor.
